PRENOVA Oral Tablet is intended to be used effectively the treatment of internal and external parasites of invasion as gastrointestinal and lung bristle worms or nose worms of sheeps.

Mechanism of action:

Praziquantel is an endektosit that affect all forms of strips. It destroys parasite vegetation, impairs membrane permeability and metabolic regulation, and causes spastic paralysis. Parasite is broken off adhered place with scolexes; dissolves and disperses rapidly due to intestinal enzymes. For this reason, it would not be able to see the parasite segments in faeces.

İvermectin keeps to open the chlorine channels for increasing the secretion of Gamma Amino Butyric Acid (GABA) in ganglionic synapses moforic (nematodes) or neuromuscular recent plates (arthropods) of parasites. Whereas in mammals, ivermectin is safe to exceed to blood / brain barrier, and not exceed to GABAergic nerve that located in the central nervous system enough.

Pharmacokinetic:

Praziquantel is absorbed rapidly gastro-intestinal, reachs the peak blood concentration within 1-2 hours. The elimination half-life is 2-3 hours. It becomes largely ineffective metabolites in the liver. The first 80% of the dose is excreted in 24 hours, and all of the dose is excreted from the body through urine and stool in 48 hours.

İvermectin is absorbed gastro-intestinal, reachs the peak blood concentration within 1-2 hours. Bioavailability is about 85% and result of the release it has a half-life for 8-13 days. 82% of the dose is excreted in the stool.

Prenova Oral Tablet is prepared combination which used for treatment of effective invasion of internal and external parasites as gastrointestinal and lung bristle worms, nose worm in sheeps.

Parasite species to be effective:

Gastro-intestinal NematodsHaemonchus sp, Ostertagia sp.,Trichostrongylus sp, Cooperia sp, Oesophagostomun sp., Chaberthia ovirıa, Trichuris ovis

Lung bristle worms: Dictyocaulus filaria

Sestods: Moniezia sp.,Stilesia sp., Avitellina sp., Thysanezia sp

Sestodlar: Moniezia sp.,Stilesia sp., Avitellina sp., Thysanezia sp

Factors of scabies: Sarcoptes scabei ovis, Psoroptes ovis, Chorioptes. Ovis

Louse: Linognatuspedalis, L.ovillus, L.stenopsis

Nose worm: Oestrus ovis

Acarids: Boophylus sp

If not otherwise recommended by veterinarians;

Prenova Oral Tablet: By mouth of sheeps and lambs, tablets are left with handed or tablet’s apparatus to tongue, and swallowed with plenty of water.

Pharmacological doses (for sheeps): 5 mg/kg body weight of Praziquantel, 0,2 mg/kg body weight of İvermectin

Once every 3 months, 1 tablet of 50 kg body weight is applied:

25 kg body weight of lamb: ½ tablet

50 kg body weight of sheep: 1 tablet

During treatment and 28 days after the last drug use; the sheeps must not be slaughter. The milk for human consumption must not be given to milch sheeps.
